I Hear Music

Hahahahahahaaaaaa! Submitted on the last day of the contest! I am such a procrastinator.

Anyhow, this is my character, Radio, hanging out with Kyra's character, Jarae, who is an Ice Elemental.



I had to modify it a little- the first pose seemed a little too... romantic... which was not the intention of the drawing.

I was thinking, since this is a character interaction contest, I figured it would be interesting if Jarae showed up in Havenisle. Radio is fond of bringing home strays, and as you can see, she's even let Jarae borrow one of her hoodies. ^__^

Since Jarae is from another dimension, she would have no idea what iPods or walkmen, or even radios, tvs, etc. are, so the idea came into my head.

Radio is kind hearted, but violently antisocial. It's a disorder. So it would be normal for her to take Jarae to a park, and get bored of watching this Ice Elemental gawk at the buildings and the people and the cars. So naturally, she would pull out her MP3 player. (This particular antisocial habit is the reason her nickname is Radio, btw.)

Anyhow, Jarae becomes curious, and Radio lets her listen. I was really hoping to add more of a sense and wonder and surprise to Jarae's expression, but I'm not that cool yet. Eventually. ^__^

I wish I would have done better on the eyes, and I wish I would have made a real background, but the deadline is NOW! SUBMIT! SUBMIT!! SUBMIT!!!
