My hard drive crashed. All my work for the last three years is gone. Here's the zinger- I had just bought a CD case and spool of blank CDs so I could back up all of my projects and keep them safe.

From a hard drive crash.

I am trying to take this as calmly as possible. There are greater tragedies befalling the world, after all.

Maybe this is a great opportunity to start over from scratch.

Look on the bright side: You have the stuff you submitted to DA. It may not be the right file size or even the complete file, but at least you have something left, right?

Isn't there some way to fix it or get the files off? The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago, and I haven't taken it in yet to get it looked at, but a friend of mine had them fish out her files somehow...

that sucks. I had the same thing happen. maybe you will get luck and be able to save some, maybe not. I wish you luck on either angle though.
